Naju Myeonok Reviews

This is such a legit place and my go-to to is always the spicy noodle with beef. It's so refreshing and flavorful. We also a dish of cooked beef and it was delicious as well!

Nice and clean restaurant. It was the first time visiting the restaurant. The service was friendly and nice. They my favorite dish so they get a bonus. It was good... it was delicious. It was not the best I ever had but good. I would recommend the restaurant.

Love this place. The naju gomtang is very soothing and filling. Lots of meat too. The naengmyun is flavorful and has the right amount of sweet to it. Clean, open space with quick service, located in the hmart plaza. I highly recommend if you're up to trying something other than bbq in the area.

SO. FREAKING. GOOD. They have some of the best gomtang I've ever had. The broth is really flavorful even without any salt or pepper, but the best part is the really tender beef. They also give you so much protein. The sauce that comes with the gomtang is amazing, so definitely dip the beef into the sauce. Their side dishes are awesome--my favorites are the potato salad and the kimchi. My friend's naengmyeon--ALSO SO FREAKING GOOD. I've never had cold noodles before and didn't really understand how cold noodles could be so good, but damn. I've been converted. Even without mustard and vinegar, the spicy naengmyeon is incredible. I can totally see how and why this is such a refreshing dish on hot days. This is a really pretty restaurant too, and I'm surprised I've never come inside despite frequenting Carrollton K-Town religiously over the past ten years. Staff is really friendly and helpful. I might want to try their raw crab one day because it's one of the only restaurants in Dallas that offers it. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the DFW area now.

Great place to get variety of Korean comfort food. What I love the most is they have variety of soy marinated seafood - crab, abalone, and shrimp. I've tried their marinated crab and abalone and both were really good. Their naengmyun was just ok. It was good but I've had better at a different naengmyun place nearby. Naju gomtang was good and broth was very flavorful. I would definitely go back. I took one star out because the service is pretty slow.

I had the spicy cold noodle and the Korean soy sauce crab. They are both great. Banchan are delicious as well. Service was great. The restaurant was a bit small, and there was a wait when we arrived, but the line moved fast. The waiters were attentive and nice despite being busy.

While I eat Korean food often, including delicious home-cooking from an old college roommate's Korean mother (yum!), I had never had the opportunity to try raw marinated Korean crab until coming to 나주면옥 Naju Myeonok. Knowing I needed to be extra careful with where I chose to try this, I did my research and felt pretty confident these folks would do it right with high quality crabs. The service was very helpful, friendly, and offered guidance realizing this was new to me. Ambiance is perfectly fine if not even great. In addition to the crab, we also ordered one order of regular rice and one order of bibimbab rice which was covered with an egg. Also shared naju gomtang (beef meat soup). Now to the (Korean) crab... it was obvious the crab was very fresh. The MEDIUM was plenty for two. The LARGE we were told would serve four. So the pricing ends up being very reasonable, especially with the tasty banchan (sides) that come with the crab. I am glad I finally tried the crab and it was very tasty and unique. However, the struggle and mess required for so little benefit of (delicious) crab meat is just not my thing. It required plastic gloves, shell crackers, scissors and got crab marinade EVERYWHERE. The same reason I prefer king crab over snow crab is the reason why I'll probably never have this type of crab again. But for those who enjoy a challenge to get at your small amount of crab meat, you'll be very happy ordering this. Great new culinary experience. Thank you!

Super cute spot with delicious food and fast service. I came here for lunch with friends and this place was packed. We ordered the naengmyeon, spicy naengmyeon, kalbi, and the marinated Korean raw crab. It all came out so fast and everything was really delicious. Portion size was great as well as pricing for what you get. Definitely go here if you're in the area.

What used to be called Homung Naeng Myeon is under new management and is now called Naju Myenok. They continue to serve their beloved cold and bibim noodles but have expanded their menu to include various traditional Korean dishes such as soy sauce marinated raw seafood, seafood hot pot, gomtang, etc. Since under new management, I have tried spicy sauce cold noodle, raw marinated crab, and bibimbap rice that you can order as an addition. I'm not a big fan of spicy sauce cold noodles in general, but I thought it was decent and had a kick. Raw marinated crab (the Korean crab version over the blue crab) was excellent with an ample amount of fresh-tasting crabs and a beautiful presentation. I liked that their soy sauce marinade didn't taste too sweet in comparison to others that I've tried in the area like at Maht Gaek. The bibim bap you can order in addition to your marinated crab was nice with fried eggs on top, drizzles of sesame oil, and some seaweed flakes and toasted sesame seeds, but I don't think it's an absolute must pairing with the crab. The complimentary beef broth that you can refill throughout the meal could have had more flavor this time. Overall, I would come back and be happy to explore other dishes on the menu. I really enjoyed their spicy marinated beef and vegetable soup before the change in management, and I see that they now have a bigger version of it and call it "hotpot", which I'd love to give a try. Besides raw marinated crab, they have raw marinated shrimp which is difficult to come by, and even raw marinated abalone which I have never seen before! With how fresh their crabs taste, I'd also love to try spicy crab hot pot next time.
